Let's talk about the average person's carbon footprint.
All things considered, it seems your car is around 17-19% of your total carbon footprint per year, which is a significant chunk of your footprint, that we can help your resolve.
In the near future, the law will oblige your employer to consider your CO2 footprint based on your commute, as a first step of CO2-emission reduction policy, and per 2026 your employer may become limited in their companywide CO2 footprint for commuting, shifting the workforce towards either electric vehicles, or Azolla-enabled ICE cars.

Assuming at some point, we civilians will at one point have to pay carbon taxes when using ICE vehicles.
Currently the tax for emissions varies enormously on the market but the highest thus far has recently been proposed of up to 875 euro / metric ton CO2.
Let's do the math. (Sadly, I had to exlude Plug-in-Hybrids, as they're a different beast entirely.)
Now we should also consider that electric cars simply aren't the holy grail yet when it comes to lowering emissions for transport.
As long as the grid isn't emission free, electric vehicles would actually lose out when considering carbon credits if they are fairly penalised for their carbon footprint.
Then there's the problems with higher purchase cost, efficiency, storage, charge rates, dependency on China.

With 8,9 million personal vehicles in the Netherlands, the market is huge and up for the taking.
We've only seen a partial movements to electric vehicles (550k on the road as of 2023) as the upfront costs and downsides currently don't seem to entice consumers, or leave out a large segment of the car market.
Our solution would be universal, applicable to all car brands and types, instantly making any old and new car emission-free.
There's also plenty of room in commercial transport, with 900k vans carting around packages, etc.Â
Trucks, tractors, and motorcycles are out of scope as of yet.
